Rename[edit]

I'm going to rename this page as well as the 2012 and 2017 ones into "Angolan general election". 1) They're direct election of both executive and legislative. 2) that's how they're called by the sources, including the country's officials, for example [1], [2]. --Aréat (talk) 23:58, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Graph[edit]

@Tuesp1985: Isn't there a problem with the polls graph? If you compare the version before and after your last change, the past lines don't seem to be the same, with the green drop now staying fully above the red line. Also, what's up with that green drop? I don't see a green dot that would justify it. Cordially. Aréat (talk) 00:42, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Are opinion polls actually reliable in Angola? Some seem to show a massive lead for the MPLA and some for UNITA. Are one (or both) sets of pollsters massively biased? Number 57 10:35, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The democratic process in Angola is not reliable at all, from opinion polls to the election process itself. MPLA is accused of making up polls, the POB Brazil poll was widely announced by Angola's State media, but the company doesn't exist. The UNITA lead in polls are also doubtfull as they are conducted by anti-MPLA organizations. Adding to this, MPLA controls the electoral process and there are big worries that the election could be tampered and create tensions seen only during the civil war. We'll see.Tuesp1985 (talk) 23:00, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there Aréat! I believe this happens because the last two polls had MPLA leading, by a wide margin, a the most recent one has UNITA leading, also by a wide margin. I assume that the graphic automatically defines the trends with the most recent poll.Tuesp1985 (talk) 22:54, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand why adding a new poll at the most recent time make the whole line go up for the past three years, to be honest. Make the whole thing pretty unreliable, no ? What aboit the early 2021 green drop, by the way ? --Aréat (talk) 02:18, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's the authomatic trends the graphic makes. In my experience, the wiki graphics have two most used forms: basis and bundle. The bundle, used in this election's graphic is more smooth, while the basis is more abrupt and makes graph a bit unreadable, in my view.Tuesp1985 (talk) 15:06, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not a perfect system, then, but okay. So, what about the big drop of UNITA in early 2021 ? It's not in the list of polls, and I don't see a low green dot explaining thegraphic behavior. --Aréat (talk) 05:15, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, it's the authomatic trends the graphic makes. Some don't make sense, like the one you referred. I also had an issue in the 2022 Portuguese election polling page with the graphic assuming that two polls, conducted in different months, were done at the same day.Tuesp1985 (talk) 14:41, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Newly elected members of the National Assembly[edit]

Hi, everyone. Can someone please provide me with a list of all the newly elected members of the National Assembly? I would like to start creating articles about the newly elected MPs. Best,  Lefcentreright  Discuss  18:24, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
