Removal of duplicative citations in lead[edit]

In the lead of the article, in the first sentence, there are six separate citations. According to WP:WHENNOTCITE, “Citations are often omitted from the lead section of an article, insofar as the lead summarizes information for which sources are given later in the article, although quotations and controversial statements, particularly if about living persons, should be supported by citations even in the lead.“ I propose that the multiple citations should be removed as it is duplicative and such citations could be used later in the article. What is being stated in the first sentence is not a quotation nor is a controversial statement and does not require a citation, let alone six of them. Jurisdicta (talk) 05:44, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
