2nd round[edit]

Is there some info that the election system changed, and that the legislative portion of the election is now only a single round? They have been two rounds in the past, and if that is still the case then there will certainly be some runoffs in February and the name of the article should be changed back to 2020–21. Looking over the new CAR constitution promulgated the month after the last election, it does require a second round only for the presidential election. This does not mean that there won't be a second round for the legislative as well, and the domestic press doesn't differentiate executive vs legislative in this regard as many foreign reports on the election do. Name of this article[edit]

Just putting a feeler out, as to whether there are likely to be any objections if I rename this article (and all other election articles for this country) to 2020–21 Central African Republic general election? I find the use of the demonym "Central African" quite confusing here... in ordinary speech, that would usually refer to the region of Central Africa as a whole, not just the CAR. I also think this would be consistent with other articles such as Central African Republic Civil War (2012–present), as well as outside sources such as BBC News. If it's controversial, I'll start an RM, but if people agree that it's straightforward then I would go ahead and make the moves directly. No problem. As for the parliamentary election, not as far as I know. The various french speaking sources who focused on the country's election only reported the number of seats per parties. The Constitutional court itself doesn't have a website.--Aréat (talk) 17:12, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
