Will Chris Wood be exempt under #6:Last three BMW PGA Championship winners? The 2019 BMW will not be till September 2019, he will be one of the last 3 champions when the 2019 Open is held. Pennwood711 (talk) 16:01, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

- How are they treating Chris Wood? His bio on THE OPEN page[1] shows him exempt, but Exempt List on THE OPEN page[2] does not. Only BMW PGA Championship winners for 2017 and 2018 are being shown as exempt.Tomrtn (talk) 13:05, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- The latest PGA Tour update would indicate Chris Wood has not qualified. https://www.pgatour.com/fantasy/major-qualifiers.html. I would be inclined to trust the Open exempt list as that is likely to be managed better than each individual pages which are likely to have some automation. Also the eligibility from winning the BMW PGA Championship is he qualifies for the "next 3 open championships", which he already has. I'd be tempted to update the main page to exclude Chris Wood for now Jopal22 (talk) 13:55, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- I'd trust https://www.theopen.com/qualification more than the Who Is Exempt? page. The WIE? hasn't been updated since February, and it's possible that they've made the decision to extend that category back through 2016 since then. Wood's placement on the qualification page implies that he became exempt between the Singapore Open and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
