Qualification[edit]

Continuation of old Irish Masters or new tournament?[edit]

Some people on Facebook have been referring to Steve Davis' win in this tournament as "his 9th Irish Masters title".

So, do you think this result should be added to the page for the Irish Masters? Or would that complicate matters too much for the other tournaments on the Seniors Tour, which all have the same names as tournaments that are currently on the Main Tour (i.e. the Masters, UK Championship, World Championship)?

If the Seniors Tour tournament was added to the Irish Masters page, it could create problems for us down the line if the Irish Masters did return to the Main Tour as well.

I should add - as somebody who lives in Northern Ireland, I would love to see the Irish Masters return to the Main Tour. Because, with the history that the sport has on this island, one tournament in the Main Tour on the whole island is not enough.
