Please note redirect from AfD[edit]

So, this page keeps on being recreated. The AfD reached a clear consensus and, given the history of similar events, it seems best to avoid recreation until it is clear that the 2017 event will actually occur - and that's not going to happen until sometime towards the end of 2016. Perhaps anyone reviewing the page when it's recreated next time might want to have a wee look at that? Blue Square Thing (talk) 18:27, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Final location[edit]

Yes, I know the PSL are saying that it will be held in Lahore. But they've said a whole pile of things in the past, notably about their sixth team in Kashmir. The situation, using more neutral media rather than cheerleading stuff that quotes press releases, is that it could be held there - and it may well be held there. I'm sure it'll be great if it is. But let's represent what the reality is please - it might be, if the security situation is fine and if the players actually agree in practice that they want to . At which point Morgan and Hales had better hope they're not asked to travel to Lahore...

The potential might be worth a section int he article actually - I'd be happy to look at (and ce to written English as necessary) a section if anyone wants to write it. Blue Square Thing (talk) 08:52, 24 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No, seriously boys and girls - can we wait and see what happens. Recent events strike me as meaning that the security situation is less certain. We know it will happen int he UAE. It might have the final in Lahore. The article says that - the info box and table is find as it is for now. Blue Square Thing (talk) 18:36, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

psl 2[edit]

Plz call ab davillar to play PSL 2 Ranainam17 (talk) 17:09, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Opening ceremony?[edit]

Should info about the ceremony be menitioned here or not? Thanks! M. Billoo 20:34, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it's part of the thing with the tournament - and wasn't the first match held up due to something or other associated with it? Blue Square Thing (talk) 08:22, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Suspensions and corruption investigations[edit]

Could someone with better access to sources, especially non-English language sources, please write a section that deals with the suspension of the two players accused of corruption and the other corruption investigations currently going on around the matches please? It seems to be entirely newsworthy and extremely notable. Thanks Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:49, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Passing comment[edit]

The Format section will need one or more sources to verify the content- this is the kind of thing that will get picked up in the formal GA review. If there's a document published by the PSL with the rules for the tournament (similar to this one that gets published for every English cricket tournament), then that could be used as a source for the format, points system, and tie breaker criteria. Joseph2302 Something like this (page 24). CreativeNorth (talk) 15:49, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's exactly the source type I was thinking of. All the content I mentioned is sourced by that source. Joseph2302 (talk) 18:13, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction of article[edit]

  • "On 19 October 2016, at the 2017 player draft, league chairman Najam Sethi announced that the final of the 2017 tournament might be played in Lahore, Pakistan, depending on the security situation there." - what's the source?
  • "The 2017 PSL was broadcast in more than 10 territories." - source?
  • "The 2017 PSL was broadcast in more than 10 territories"=> "The 2017 PSL was broadcasted in more than 10 territories."
  • "The tournament also witnessed a spot-fixing controversy which was resolved on 30 August 2017." - source?

More to come.  A.A Prinon  Conversation 14:02, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @A.A Prinon: Thanks for reviewing this, as per MOS:CITELEAD if the sources are in the appropriate section then they don’t need to be sourced for the lead. On the final being played in Lahore have a look at the background section. CreativeNorth (talk) 15:04, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@A.A Prinon: I’ve now fixed the sentence on broadcasting. CreativeNorth (talk) 06:59, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Further comments[edit]

@CreativeNorth: I can't find any more issues except the previous ones. I think article meets all the criteria as its board in its coverage, reliably sourced and stable. Earlier, a user left a message on article's talk page saying that it needed more sources in Format section. But now I am seeing that fixed with reliable sources. So, I can pass it and list in good article. 09:24, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
