Unfortunately, I'm afraid this will have to be a quick-fail. This earthquake occurred not more than two days ago, and information about the aftermath and long-term impact of the event (e.g. death toll, overall cost of damage, economic impact, political impact, historical/scientific significance, etc.) are still uncertain and currently omitted in the article since we simply don't know about them yet. At this time the article fails both criteria 3 (broad in its coverage) and 5 (stable) of the good article criteria as it is likely to change from day-to-day as a result of the recentness of the event and as more information becomes available.

I recommend waiting several months until the article is more stable and contains well-sourced information related to the long-term aftermath of the event before nominating to GA again. Mz7 (talk) 19:59, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
