Current players[edit]

It's not necessary to comment out current Benfica players. SLBedit (talk) 20:37, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't comment out any players. SLBedit (talk) 20:40, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cancelled pre-season match[edit]

@Besteirense: Why do you want to keep it there? SLBedit (talk) 17:19, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why keep the União da Madeira vs Benfica match on the 2015–16 S.L. Benfica season? Why keep the cancelled Manchester derby on the 2016–17 Manchester City F.C. season? Why do you always want to have it your way, even when you're clearly wrong? Why try to understand something if you always edit before asking the question(s)? Besteirense (talk) 17:30, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No one is wrong. I removed it because it's a pre-season friendly match that didn't happen. It's already described in prose why it was cancelled and such. SLBedit (talk) 20:32, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The example on the Manchester City page was also a pre-seaon match that didn't take place. There are lots of redundant info in this page, namely the info box at the top. Besteirense (talk) 21:09, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see any cancelled match in 2017–18 Manchester City F.C. season. Is {{Infobox football club season}} redundant? SLBedit (talk) 21:20, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You don't find it because you're searching on the wrong article; read again what I wrote. Aside from the "Average home league attendance" and the kit images (which could me moved to the Kit section), all the other info can be obtained elsewhere on that page. Do you disagree? Besteirense (talk) 21:29, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that. União da Madeira vs Benfica was an official match. Season articles always have an infobox. If you want to readd the cancelled match, go ahead, I won't remove it again, but it's useless to display it when the prose explains everything. SLBedit (talk) 21:40, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
So, rhetorical questions aside, are you going to revert your last two edits or do I have to input that information myself once again? Besteirense (talk) 17:37, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, but you could ask someone neutral what's the best option. By the way, just because you created the article, it doesn't mean you own it. SLBedit (talk) 20:32, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I could. But so could you before reverting my contribution. Nice try, though. Besteirense (talk) 21:09, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
See, there was no point in adding it. SLBedit (talk) 01:59, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Position in UEFA Champions League group[edit]

@Besteirense: Why are you removing it if infobox is a separate thing from prose? You don't own the article just because you started it. SLBedit (talk) 23:43, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Live scoring[edit]

@SLBedit: "Do not update statistics or scores while a match is in progress. Instead, wait until the match has finished before updating. At WikiProject Football there is a consensus not to add live scores and not to update any statistics while a match is in progress. Without live updates it is easier to avoid duplicate information and errors being published on the article." Besteirense (talk) 23:39, 29 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New signings[edit]

Vlachodimos and Ebuehi were signed for the following season. Why should they be listed here? SLBedit (talk) 17:19, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Besteirenses: Stop being a child and discuss here "your" problem. SLBedit (talk) 18:40, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The transfers were made while this season was still ongoing. Odisseas Vlachodimos has been on the Transfers In table since 28 February and you did not remove him until now. Give me a good reason for that.
Also, why the need to use the words I use for you against me? Don't you have vocabulary of our own? It does not bother me, but the amusing feeling has been long gone. Besteirense (talk) 19:04, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Then change transfer window to winter.
I use the words I want. SLBedit (talk) 19:09, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I knew you did not have a good answer. Always reverting without thinking first... such a shame. The players will arrive on the (following) summer transfer window. They signed during this season to play the next. What's so difficult to understand?
So salty. You are free to do that, yes. But seriously, you try too hard. That's why, once in a while, you ragequit. Just relax. Besteirense (talk) 19:19, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You don't own this article nor words. Actually, I have a good answer: the season is over, and the new signings belong to the new season, meaning that the new players will not play in the 2017–18 season simply because it's over. I hope you are not retarded and understand this.
So childish. Go back to SB and keep on voting Vieira. SLBedit (talk) 21:45, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, still a lousy answer because you run away from what was intended (your reason for not removing Vlachodimos before). I did not write the new signed players would play in this season. Vlachodimos' transfer was made official during 2017–18 season, this article is about what happened during this season, ergo the info is relevant to this article.
Are you Gaspar de Carvalho, the president of Sporting CP? The way you express yourself is very similar, the rage attacks, the fallacies, the hate for Vieira... There's something going on there, definitely. Besteirense (talk) 22:43, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's a stupid (rhetorical) question and a dishonest attack. You have conflict of interest in editing anything related to Benfica because you are a member of the club. SLBedit (talk) 23:00, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Vlachodimos' transfer was made official during 2017–18 season – that's not entirely true. Only now Benfica announced his signing for the 2018–19 season, and only after the 2017–18 season ended. SLBedit (talk) 23:04, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed the transfer window of Vlachodimos from "summer" to "winter" because you said that he signed in February, and that's the reason why you included him in the article. SLBedit (talk) 23:14, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Vlachodimos transfer was announced in "RELATÓRIO E CONTAS 1º SEMESTRE 2017/2018", that was made public on 28 February, during this season. Your opinion that the season has already ended it's just that, an opinion. Without facts, proofs, it has zero value.
About the last paragraph, you are confused: calendar season and transfer window are two different concepts. Just because it is Winter in February that does not mean the transfers that happen in that month belong in the Winter transfer window. As you can see here, the deadline in Portugal was 2 February. Your last edit in the article made no sense. Besteirense (talk) 00:34, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Then it doesn't belong to winter or summer transfer windows. Anyway, only now he has passed medical tests at Benfica. SLBedit (talk) 00:47, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What is your problem with the "—"? SLBedit (talk) 00:48, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
He signed on 2017–18 but only entered the club the following season. The first transfer window is Summer, so that's the correct one. Also, if it would be okay to change it here, you needed to be coherent and change it on 2018–19 season.
No, it's a separate article and there is no consensus about what you mentioned. SLBedit (talk) 00:55, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Censorship of relevant information[edit]

@Besteirense: Please don't remove relevant, related information to the article only because you regret voting for Vieira. Read WP:COI. SLBedit (talk) 23:33, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Besteirense: You better stop edit warring and adding unsourced information. SLBedit (talk) 22:37, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Of course I must stop our edit warring. Your immaturity, conflicting attitude and obsession with Benfica won't allow you to take the initiative. By the way, don't go crying if you keep getting blocked because of your compulsive lies. You already have been blocked for a week for removing sourced content claiming it was not sourced. I did not add unsourced content; the source that was already there provided the original source (the video of the press conference). Try learning from your mistakes and be less emotional, kid. Besteirense (talk) 10:19, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
We should avoid that, obviously. I can't play the video, and text is preferable to video. If he said something different, why don't you find a source quoting his exact words? Don't call me a liar, kid. SLBedit (talk) 22:43, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
