Why keep the União da Madeira vs Benfica match on the 2015–16 S.L. Benfica season? Why keep the cancelled Manchester derby on the 2016–17 Manchester City F.C. season? About the last paragraph, you are confused: calendar season and transfer window are two different concepts. Just because it is Winter in February that does not mean the transfers that happen in that month belong in the Winter transfer window. As you can see here, the deadline in Portugal was 2 February.
