Notability[edit]

The notability guideline for events indicates that an event is "presumed to be notable if it receives significant, non-routine coverage that persists over a period of time" and appears in "multiple reliable sources with national or global scope". The coverage received by this blackout has been significant and non-routine, appearing in multiple reliable sources with global scope, but only time will tell whether the coverage will persist.
