Past Champions In Field[edit]

Would it make more since to list most recent to most distant? On the assumption that a) people who one more recently are more likely to win again; b) that usually a main focus of a sporting event is whether the defending champion will win. (Happyax 13:47, 9 August 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Tiger's Injury[edit]

Dave Sittler's column in the 6/19/08 Tulsa World points out that although the public didn't know it at the time, Tiger was actually pretty badly injured (torn ACL) when he won the 2007 PGA. As Sittler puts it, "So Woods was basically playing on one leg when he won his 13th and 14th majors." "Tiger's remarkable run began at Southern Hills." I don't know if it's important enough to add this to the 2007 PGA article or not, but it certainly puts Tiger's win--on a course he'd never handled particularly well before--in an interesting new light, so maybe it is.
