Chadian-sudanese conflict

Once all the info has been gathered, which I'll work on tomorrow, this'll need to be incorporated into Chadian-Sudanese conflict, Tripoli Agreement, and the SCUD page. KI’s edits

I have some questions regarding KI’s edits.

• The actual quote that Hourmadji Moussa Doumngor said is “their occupants neutralised” with an “s” see here: [1]. So why are you changing it?

• Why is there an “e” here: Tim and Timam(e) Erdimi”?

• Why do you insist on using the redirects instead of articles’ proper titles in the internal links? – Zntrip 02:56, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

1. That's a Reuters rendering of the word, which is spelled in American english with a z.

2. Timam is usually, but not always spelled with a "z."

3. The links as I had them directly link to what I wrote, and dont have misleading redirects. The "proper titles" arent any more proper than what I have linking to them. Using redirects is not looked down upon. Please review Wikipedia policy. KI 03:09, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

• What's wrong with linking [[Chadian President]] as [[Chad|Chadian]] [[Head of state of Chad|President]]? This way there is a link for "Chad" and the president. – Zntrip 03:42, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Doumngor's statement was in French, not English, and neutralized is a translation. I meant Timam is sometimes spelled with an "e." The links as you have them are misleading. "Chad President" is a title; it should link to the president. KI 16:48, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

I understand the Timam(e) thing and it doesn't really matter which way "neutralized" is spelled, but "Chadian President" is not a title. In Chad the call him "President". "President" is his title. – Zntrip 21:32, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
