NCAA Sanctions[edit]

Its now official: USC has been forced by the NCAA to vacate its last two games of the 2004 season as a result of cheating and loss of institutional control. This includes USC having to vacate the Orange Bowl and NC Game. USC no longer has the BCS or FWAA or Coaches championship. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2011/05/for-usc-football-loss-of-ncaa-appeal-also-means-loss-of-2004-national-title-.html?dlvrit=53285 Someone needs to update this page.

NCAA Sanctions[edit]

Why don't we wait until the NCAA's report is publicly released, before we make changes. I have a problem with source speaking under a condition of anonymity, it kinda makes them unreliable. Remember this is not a speculation bases website.--Subman758 (talk) 17:59, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that the condition of vacancy is not dependent on the appeal. As of right now, the team's victories against California and Oklahoma are vacated. The team's officially recognized record for the 2004 season is 11-0.

To the contrary, we should wait until the decision is overturned before this page should recognize the 13-0 record. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.160.206.208 (talk) 05:53, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pacific Ten Conference Champions[edit]

They would still be at least CO-Champions of the PAC-10 They would have have 7-0 record. As the win is vacated, not counted as a loss. They would still be 1/2 game ahead of Cal, who they beat, and that win was not vacated.--Subman758 (talk) 18:12, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
