Refs/Further reading[edit]

Please note that a couple of the refs might be NLA or Battye restricted access - most should be still around - I havent done a cross check of state borrowing library systems - some librarians get very enthusiastic in their culling of material from that era - so happy hunting folks! The article 1983 America's Cup: The End of an Era seems to cover the same ground, albeit in a more detailed and florid manner. The two articles ought to be integrated, in my opinion. Skomorokh 08:55, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it seems someone has created a duplicate article and it should be merged into this one. Mattlore (talk) 09:55, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agree, there is no need for separate articles. Boatman (talk) 10:03, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Glad we are agreed. I am not familiar enough with the topic area to properly merge the articles; would one of you consider giving it a go? Skomorokh 15:55, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • I implemented the merger today, after an impatient Wikipedian took the other article to AfD. --Orlady (talk) 14:48, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Location for Bob Hawke quote[edit]

The quote from Bob Hawke says he was in Claremont at the time, but this isn't stated in the cited source. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFw7iIvCFpo is the television interview where the quote comes from, which says he is at the Royal Perth Yacht Club, which is in Crawley. --James (talk) 08:26, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
