Jackson & Beckett[edit]

In the spirit of 'building the web', is it worthwhile to point out that Margaret Jackson later married Leo Beckett, becoming Margaret Beckett (yes, the Margaret Beckett)? I say this because this article says rather more about his politics than the Margaret Beckett one, and the MB article includes the phrase "the couple are a close political and professional team". Also, is it worth mentioning that Beckett stood in both the 1974 elections? Mr Stephen (talk) 10:51, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it probably is worth mentioning it in expanding on the aftermath of the byelection, although perhaps it fits more neatly in a biography. I don't think Margaret Jackson as was had any connections with Lincoln before she stood for the selection (which I guess would have been in late 1973), so her connection with the byelection itself is minimal, but she did have a significant role in the aftermath.
