Armament of Hawker Hunter[edit]
User:Petebutt pointed out an issue with the anecdote repeated by Peter Nash, that the Hawker Hunter was never equipped with missiles in RAF service. Unfortunately, I'm not sure which sources are reliable, so I'll take a look around and see if I can find one that covers what Pete pointed out. Then the anecdote can be presented as flawed at best. - Plenty of other Air Forces fitted missiles to hunters, but not the RAF.--Petebutt (talk) 04:01, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
Popular Culture section entry[edit]
A dramatization of this incident, titled "Bird in the Sky" was transmitted on BBC Radio4 on 31 Jul 2020 and is currently available on BBC Sounds. This may include extracts of some of the original recordings.
