Nicklaus' So-Called Major Slump[edit]

Jack Nicklaus' finishes in his previous six majors prior to the 1969 Masters were 2, 3, 5, 2, 2, and a missed cut by one stroke. Calling that a "slump" is beyond ridiculous and sounds like it was written by some hackneyed sportswriter who did not like Jack. This comment seems way out of line in a summary of the 1969 Masters. Rather, what is noteworthy is that the missed cut in 1969 was the only Masters cut Nicklaus missed in 1960-1993 (he also withdrew before the second round of the 1983 Masters with back spasms).

I hope that this comment regarding a "slump" can be modified.
