Highest grossing[edit]

According to source, the highest position should belong to Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? with $25.5 millions, higher than Funny Girl (film) (which made $24.9 millions). Băng Tỏa (talk) 19:12, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It would appear to be an error, because GHCTD was definitely a 1967 release (see [1]), albeit a late one. Occasionally a late-year release would be released too late in the year to make it on to Variety's annual list so they just stuck it on the next year's list instead. For example, despite being 1973 releases, both The Sting and The Exorcist were included on Variety's 1974 list, although the error is not replicated in the Finler book.
