Article Title[edit]

I noticed that the title of this article is different from other similarly-named articles such as Democratic Party vice presidential candidate selection, 1948, Democratic Party vice presidential candidate selection, 1952, Democratic Party vice presidential candidate selection, 1960, Democratic Party vice presidential candidate selection, 1964, Democratic Party vice presidential candidate selection, 1968, Democratic Party vice presidential candidate selection, 1972, Democratic Party vice presidential candidate selection, 1988 which raises the question of whether this article title should be changed, or whether the article titles I cited along with all other similarly-named articles should be changed.--TommyBoy (talk) 03:50, 8 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Update: I have now moved the page to Democratic Party vice presidential candidate selection, 1944 to maintain full consistency with the other pages listed at Template:United States vice presidential candidate selection. I know this has already closed, but FDR didn't really have much say in who would be the candidate ("selection") as in 1940. The convention chose the VP nominee much more than he did. Master of Time (talk) 05:51, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the comment above. There really HAS to be a citation for the claim that "By late spring 1944, the group had succeeded in turning Roosevelt against Wallace..." from what I have read, that was simply not the case, and that statement serves to (in my opinion, falsely) contradict the idea that this was a conspiracy against Wallace perpetrated by party bosses/higher ups in the democratic party. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:1201:8162:25B9:9898:3A9B:B072 (talk) 22:28, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I find it questionable that this article makes no mention of why Wallace was so strongly opposed within the Party.

Major link dead - cited 8 times[edit]
