Mr Messenger[edit]

Did Dally Messenger play in this series or was it Wally Messenger? Having trouble finding a reliable source that confirms who it was.--Gibson Flying V (talk) 04:47, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

RLP says it was Dally[1] Mattlore (talk) 07:04, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
RLP is not a reliable source. It also quotes Alan Whiticker (who I think is more reliable than the folks at RLP) apparently says it was Wally.[2] I need to keep sniffing around for a better source.--Gibson Flying V (talk) 08:34, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Bolewski[edit]

According to Alan Whiticker and Lex Marinos it was Henry Bolewski who played in this Ashes series and not Mick Bolewski.--Gibson Flying V (talk) 10:00, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Great Britain squad list...[edit]

Does anyone have the complete squad list for Great Britain? I assume they would have taken 26-players. Best Regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 21:13, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I can't remember off the top of my head. But any source used I would have referenced there. I may have just pieced it together from the various sources, including RLP match reports.--Gibson Flying V (talk) 23:53, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Do their duty for England"[edit]

This is referenced to Collins, Tony (2006). Rugby League in Twentieth Century Britain. UK: Routledge. p. 8. ISBN 0-415-39614-X. I don't have a copy of that to hand, is it a direct quotation or should it be "Great Britain"? pablo 13:13, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
