Problem with ISBNs[edit]

When I click on them I persistently am getting a "Lua error: invalid expiry date ("--")." 7&6=thirteen () 17:37, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@7&6=thirteen Thanks for your recent checks and edits to the citations in this article. There appears to be a system wide error in Wikipedia at present, as every ISBN number I have checked in articles ranging from Matterhorn and fishing to David Cameron and Tort law all reveal the same error messages.Parkywiki (talk) 15:11, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've had the same problem elsewhere. I was thinking about doing the (daunting) DYK review, but I wanted to 'tune up' the ISBNs. 7&6=thirteen () 15:16, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think understanding the process of DYK nomination is harder than following the rules for writing articles! Not knowing how to report the ISBN problem, I've just sent a tweet to their @Wikipedia account. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. (I'd welcome further suggestions for improving the quality rating of this article, if you have any - it's hard to know what else I should add) Parkywiki (talk) 15:28, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Outwardly, it looks like a thorough and wonderful article. The problem is so many sources. Too many notes. {:>{)> I also ran into an immediate Earwig's copy violation detector: Emile Rey problem that gave me pause. As I recall, I think that is out of copyright, but the similarities and sourcing need to be acknowledged. Somebody will get their panties in a bunch. 7&6=thirteen () 16:05, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I put an express acknowledgment to Cunningham, C.D.; Abney, W. de W. (1888). The Pioneers of the Alps (2nd ed.). Retrieved 22 November 2015. which should take care of the WP:Copyright and WP:Close paraphrasing problem. As it was it didn't bother me, but forewarned is forearmed. I hope you agree. 7&6=thirteen () 16:35, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
