Why was the ADL removed as a source?

@Aboutmovies:. Doug Weller talk 18:45, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know and don't know why I would be asked. My only edit was adding a category. Aboutmovies (talk) 20:51, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vanguard America is a political movement that was start in 2015. I am a former member of Vanguard America. I would like to have permission to edit as I can bring information to page. EchoUSA (talk) 06:00, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: Where to even start?
Even if this were a reputable organization and not a hate group, Wikipedia would not be interested in your personal experiences. Wikipedia doesn't publish original research.
This template is not the way to request permission to edit the article yourself, it is to suggest a specific, actionable change to the article, as in "please change X to Y".
Articles are based on reliable sources which have been previously published. Any information you bring to this page would have to have already been published, and any interpretation of that information would have to also come from those sources. Grayfell (talk) 08:20, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If you're still in contact with the organization, could you get the creator of the flag to release the image under a license that Wikipedia can use, such as CC-BY-SA? Shankar Sivarajan (talk) 22:05, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Image is not a copyvio. I've converted the speedy deletion tag into a regular deletion nomination and voted for it to be kept. Beyond My Ken (talk) 03:55, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If they do delete at Commons, this would almost certainly be a permissible non-free content usage here. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 03:59, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I converted the speedy deletion tag into a regular nomination for deletion, and then voted to keep the image, as the ADL's use of it does not imply that they have copyright of it, and there's no evidence that Vanguard America is even a legal entity capable of holding a copyright.
