Merge proposal[edit]

I think the articles Timeline of the Kurdish–Turkish conflict (1978–2015) and Timeline of the Kurdish–Turkish conflict (2015–present) should be merged here. There has never been a complete cessation of hostilities, nor a tangible difference in the nature of the conflict in 2015, other than the collapse of a half-assed series of talks that were never going anywhere. Given all that, the cutoff date of 2015 feels completely arbitrary. – anlztrk (talk) 12:06, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose: The resulting article would be very long and harder to edit, without any clear benefit. Sometimes there needs to be break, and this is the one that is stable. eg: The timelines of World War 2 are organized by year.

Closing, given the uncontested objection and no support with stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 13:49, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
