Consistency of Pennsylvania Department Pages

[edit]

I created this page because it was missing from the List of Pennsylvania state agencies. Most of these pages don't have sources that would establish notability @Ratnahastin. See for instance Pennsylvania Office of General Counsel, Pennsylvania Office of Administration, Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System, etc etc. Some like Pennsylvania Attorney General have more information (in this case list of past AGs) but the source that talks about the department itself is the state web site. There aren't a lot of reliable secondary sources focusing on these departments in and of themselves.

While I agree this page doesn't have enough reliable secondary sources, I don't think any of the department pages on the List of Pennsylvania state agencies do and so recommend either deleting all or most of them or adding this one to the list as it could help people more quickly get to information. Is there a better place to have this discussion? Nnev66 (talk) 12:23, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I found some additional sources and will re-submit soon, i.e. I think the page has enough secondary sources to have a page on it's own. However, I think the issue of what to do with PA state agency pages without secondary sources beyond the department or office's own web site is an issue to address. Perhaps no one wants to take this on but I suspect lack of standardization (preventing new pages from being created in the same manner as ones that currently exist) is confusing and frustrating for new editors (it is for me).
