Peculiar or not Peculiar?
[edit]Who keeps switching Chris O'Dowd between the Peculiar and Non-Peculiars? I don't recall O'Dowd's character being Peculiar. Can someone put a clear answer so this back and forth can stop?Crboyer (talk) 06:59, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- I keep changing it back to Non-Peculiar, but I keep finding him placed in the Peculiar section. The film doesn't make it clear that he is or isn't a Peculiar, but it is stated that Abe's peculiarity skipped Frank and passed onto Jake. Therefore, he is not a Peculiar since he doesn't appear to have a peculiarity. -- Draco9904 (talk) 11:08, 27 January 2017 (AEDT)
Who keeps changing it? At what point does his character give any indication that he has a peculiarity? 107.77.210.216 (talk) 01:39, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
The character is pretty much not revealed to be one. Whoever keeps changing Frank from Non-Peculiar to Peculiar hasn't been responding to prompts to talk...Crboyer (talk) 01:47, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
- Whoever's been doing it has changed it once again. Would it be possible to report this as vandalism at this point? Jionunez (talk) 06:14, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
Lowercase
[edit]The words peculiar, ymbryne, hollow, and wight do not need to be capitalized. They are used a common nouns in the books. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skyclonus (talk • contribs) 21:48, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
Wights or Ex-Hollows?
[edit]It should also be noted that the word wight is never used in the movie. Neither is it mentioned in the official behind-the-scenes book, The Art of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Leah Gallo. The characters in the movie who represent the wights from the books are only referred to as ex-hollows. Should this term be used in place of wight on this page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skyclonus (talk • contribs) 22:18, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
Artistic Influences: Request for Information
[edit]I am absolutely sure I have seen the Hallomorphs, or something that looks very much like them, somewhere. I bet someone knowledgable in surrealist art would have seen the same pictures, or would have seen the same influences as I. I would much appreciate any additions to the article, and the community of readers as well. I therefore request contributions on this to the article. - Having just seen the film on broadcast TV (Film 4 in the UK) I agree that there is something familiar about them in the film - I think a review of the monsters of the Silent Hill game series might be worth checking...! SlySven (talk) 01:09, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
