McEnany (surname)McEnany – "McEnany (surname)" and "McEnany" have an equivalent number of page views. People might be interested in learning about the surname, and not so much the former secretary. Jax 0677 (talk) 20:11, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. This would reverse an undiscussed move of a little over a year ago, and will get the unnecessary hatnote off Kayleigh McEnany. - Station1 (talk) 21:33, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and Station1. Mannysoloway (talk) 07:20, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. This is not even close. See significantly higher page views and search interest for Kayleigh McEnany than either Abby McEnany or the surname. It's very clear that many more people are interested in learning about the 33rd White House press secretary (and current Faux News pundit) than the surname. McEnany is rightly a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to Kayleigh McEnany, and the hatnote on Kayleigh McEnany is by no means unnecessary. feminist (talk) 04:44, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's precisely because Kayleigh is so overwhelmingly sought that the hatnote is unnecessary. Of Kayleigh's 1,251,658 views shown in your pageview link, only 419, or 0.033%, got there via McEnany. Almost no one uses the redirect, so even fewer have any use for the hatnote. Station1 (talk) 01:58, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Following the spirit of MOS:DABSUR, I dont think Kayleigh is often referred to simply by her surname. Being the most notable McEnany doesnt automatically warrant a primary redirect.—Bagumba (talk) 13:02, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
