Factual problems

[edit]

Bette Davis may be a big star, but she was not credited second in this film. She is credited as "Special Guest Star", following the "Starring" and "Guest Starring" players and before the "Featured" and the "Also Featured" players. The Vansittart citation notwithstanding, the film does not depict "a fictional romance between Jones and Catherine". Davis appears in only two linked scenes in which Catherine flirts heavily with Jones, but Jones does not reciprocate. This hardly counts as "a romance", and hers is little more than a supporting role. The only romances depicted in the film are between Jones and Danders (he loses her to Henry while at sea) and Jones and de Tellison (he searches France for her before leaving for St. Petersburg, and she later attends him as he lay dying). 71.200.89.119 (talk) 13:51, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
