I cannot agree with the category Avant Garde Drummers and propose its deletion. Any views? Paul210 14:16, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The entire "Avant Garde" family of categories is quite meaningless IMHO....--Alien Life Form 09:05, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discography

[edit]

Discography really needs to be cleaned up... I've started this in my sandbox as a sortable table, but Jack's discography is so massive, I could really use some help from the community. What's the best way to go about this?Cymbop (talk) 21:08, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jack DeJohnette discography

[edit]

Support split - Discography section is lengthy and should be split to a new article entitled "Jack DeJohnette discography". Thoughts? --Jax 0677 (talk) 00:01, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help with Refs.

[edit]

Tried to fix the referencing error in citation [6] "NYU" but after several trials discovered it's not fixable. The original writer needs to come back and re-assemble his/her thoughts and clean up the citation.2602:306:320A:AF0:2822:8B54:9170:3F11 (talk) 01:30, 2 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The album "Special Edition"

[edit]

The link in this article directs back to the generic Wiki entry for the term, rather than this entry here. [1] Unlike many, I am reluctant to edit; I will bring this up for others to make the changes.

Ancestry

[edit]

Can any information about DeJohnette's ancestry be added to this article? Did his ancestors follow the Great Migration to Chicago from the Deep South, and does he possibly have any French or Creole heritage? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 03:13, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jack DeJohnette's piano albums

[edit]

JDJ is remarkable in that he is a drummer but has also released piano albums. Allegedly there are 3 but here on Wikipedia you can only find 2. I've added a paragraph about this in the Style chapter but it can be expanded yet. e.g. about his style as a pianist.

Proposal : let's try and make it easy to pick out those 3 albums in the discography by adding info (don't just depend on the title).

Also in the extensive discography, why are the dates 1981.12 when it should be 1981-12 according to ISO 8601 ? 80.236.216.92 (talk) 17:02, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
