Everett House

[edit]

I was disappointed to find barely a mention of the Everett House hotel, which operated on the site of the Everett Building from 1853 until 1907. There are many photographs online, including at the US Library of Congress, and a nice history at a site called Daytonian in Manhattan. I was hoping to learn more about the hotel, which is mentioned in a program entitled An Evening With the Gods: James Whitcomb Riley, The Hoosier Poet, and Douglass Sherley, The Southern Author, In Readings from their own Works. The program is undated. I've found references in The Brooklyn Eagle to such a performance on 8 Mar 1894 at the Association Hall, and advertisements for tickets to that event through Chandler's, 502 Fulton Street. A separate article on Everett House seems warranted as it was prominent in its day. Pnoble805 (talk) 22:19, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
