[edit]A footnote cites "Reynolds 1994" as a reference but the book is missing from the bibliography.--Britannicus (talk) 15:08, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
Habsburg
[edit]Taken from the article: "In the 16th and 17th centuries, English foreign policy strove to prevent a creation of a single universal monarchy in Europe, which many believed France or Spain might attempt to create."
The same could strictly speaking also be said about Austria, since the Habsburgs long controlled both Austria and Spain, including territories like the Netherlands and Burgundy. Charles V was the person closest to the creation of such a single universal monarchy --Vitzque (talk) 20:10, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
- The reign of Charles V could be noted. Argovian (talk) 06:36, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
Off topic
[edit]Hi! I think the article needs a cleanup and some sorting. The historical section is not relevant, as the subject deals with the politics of the early modern era and beyond. All the best Wikirictor 11:52, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
