Requested move

[edit]
The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was move per request. Unnecessaryoverprecision.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 03:25, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Confide (band)ConfideConfide actually redirects here and no other pages have this title. The "(band)" tag is an unnecessary clarification. --ҚЯĀŽΨÇÉV13 21:54, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notability Guidelines

[edit]

Having read through the guidelines on music notability for wikipedia, I would say that it does meet the requirements and so the banner should be removed from the page. The band released two albums with the label Tragic Hero Records, which has been going for six years; this label has numerous other bands with wikipedia articles that meet notability requirements. --ERAGON (talk) 15:24, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Travis Linton?

[edit]

He was listed in the infobox, but he is not mentioned anywhere else in the article, nor can I find anything about him being a member of the band. If he was a member, linked evidence is appropriate. Burbridge92 (talk) 23:12, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Screamo

[edit]

I see the Screamo tag gets added everytime. This is not the correct genre for Confide Lesterklaassen (talk) 10:56, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed this was already discussed in 2009, the first section of this talk page... Lesterklaassen (talk) 10:58, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Question for administrator

[edit]

Can an admin help me here? Ringerfan23 continues to bother me and keeps adding a genre that does not belong to this band. If I take it away, he asks for a source. But a source to prove something that is not there does not exist at all .... First time I tried to discuss this on this talk page is 10 years ago as you can see. Maybe it's finally time to let this go? Right information should be provided on Wikipedia and screamo has nothing, but literally nothing, to do with this band. If you go to the actual page of the genre Screamo you can see even there they put a note to say it's often mistakenly used.... I quote: "In the 2000s, the term "screamo" has often mistakenly been used as an umbrella term for any music that features screamed vocals."

--Lesterklaassen (talk) 08:23, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This does not specifically require an administrator, as administrators do not adjudicate content disputes. I've made this a general help request. 331dot (talk) 09:51, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:BURDEN,

All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution.

Genres must be identified by a reliable source and not by personal interpretation. Also if you have content dispute with another editor, discuss it on this talk page. Masum Reza📞 10:44, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much. As said above, I'm not the one that keeps adding the wrong genre tag, I'm the one that has been removing it off this page since 2009... I'm not the one that needs to provide a source in this case, correct? Lesterklaassen (talk) 12:05, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed all genres since they're all unsourced. If you can provide sources for them, usually it's best to create a "Musical Style" subsection to avoid cluttering the infobox with sources. If nobody does that in the near future, I'll search for sources and do it myself when I get the chance.RF23 (talk) 12:16, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
