Investigation

[edit]

It has been stated in a letter to a police organization that she was under federal investigation. Is anyone able to uncover the nature and results of that investigation?

Awards

[edit]

Why are there so many "small" awards? I don't think even other major figures here have such an extensive list. Is this self-promotion and does it add to the article?

Reply to unsigned comment. I have trimmed this section. Maybe just add really "notable" sourced awards going forward? I also removed some unsourced material about her former marriage/husband. This bio could use serious help with formating citation and general clean up ect. Any takers :) --Threeafterthree (talk) 16:06, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The awards section is ridiculous. It's longer than the awards sections for far more notable public figures. There's no reason to individually list the small (county level) awards. I'm surprised "Recipient of the esteemed Costco Club Card" isn't on the list. The list should be confined to major national or statewide awards. The county level awards can easily be paraphrased with a closing sentence to the effect of "...in addition to numerous local awards". --192.31.106.35 (talk) 07:46, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the section. None of the requested cites were provided, and you are correct about its ridiculousness. Although I happen to admire Pirro very much, the section was less than appropriate for our encyclopedic purposes. Joefromrandb (talk) 18:52, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

CALL TO GENOCIDE

[edit]

This section needs work. For example, it says on 'Saturday." In 3 years, no one will know when that "Saturday" was. Also, the section seems redundant. It just needs work. It sucks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.115.197.98 (talk) 05:23, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Someone, please explain what this is and why it belongs in the article.[6] Snooganssnoogans (talk) 22:24, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

User removed this material because they think Newsweek has "slipped" in quality. User's viewpoints on Newsweek are irrelevant as to whether these events actually occurred.

Pro-Trump commentary in lede

[edit]

A sizable part of the body is devoted to her pro-Trump commentary, with a number of RS saying that this is what she is known for. There is no justification for removing it from the lede. Snooganssnoogans (talk) 10:18, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

She is not a journalist

word choice: recast doesn't mean rebroadcast

[edit]

Since this page is locked, could someone look at this sentence: "On March 16, 2019, Fox News decided not to air her show replacing it with a recast of a Scandalous episode in its time slot.[36]" The use of recast should be rebroadcast. Merriam-Webster, Oxford English, and Cambridge English dictionaries all basically define "recast" as change (usually in regards to acting) Nothing about a re-airing, rebroadcasting; so there is a difference. 174.29.130.241 (talk) 13:12, 22 March 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.29.130.241 (talk) 13:07, 22 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Criticisms of Dominion Voting Systems Prior to 2020 Election

[edit]

Should there be some sort of acknowledgement of the fact that Dominion and other voting systems were largely scrutinized prior to the 2020 election by outlets such as The New York Times, New Yorker Magazine, and the Daily Beast? The New York Times and The New Yorker wrote a very critical exposé on the voting systems prior to the 2018 midterm elections[1] [2] and the Daily Beast suggested that Russia was determined to hack the vulnerable systems [3] -- the reason I suggest this is because the article gives the impression that the concerns over ability for the voting systems to be hacked is fiction, and suggestions that the machines were hacked were created following the 2020 elections when, in reality, the public's awareness of the machines flaws had been widely publicized beginning in 2018.

This article and others don't state that conspiracy theorists asserted the machines had been hacked, but rather there was a elaborate conspiracy by Dominion and others to rig the vote. soibangla (talk) 15:51, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In popular culture: Portrayed by Cecily Strong on "Saturday Night Live." 67.242.216.6 (talk) 01:14, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to reopen this request. According to NBC's page describing Cecily Strong's work on Saturday Night Live (https://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/credits/repertory-player/cecily-strong) "She has earned rave reviews for her notable impressions of Judge Jeanine Pirro, Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Melania Trump."

Judge Jeanine Pirro is also listed in the "Celebrity impersonations" section on Strong's Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cecily_Strong

There are also a number of sources that describe Strong's impersonation, including Rolling Stone (https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-news/snl-cecily-strong-jeanine-pirro-tackles-kyle-rittenhouse-verdict-in-cold-open-1260754/), USA Today (https://www.usatoday.com/videos/entertainment/2021/11/21/cecily-strong-reprises-snl-role-judge-jeanine-pirro/8712416002/) and (https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2021/05/22/snl-finale-cecily-strong-drinks-and-sings-judge-jeanine-pirro/5231059001/), and Vanity Fair (https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2021/08/awards-insider-cecily-strong-characters-snl). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:192:4c80:3000:4bf:11ad:774d:6ade (talk) 00:20, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Innacuracy in "Justice with Judge Jeanine on Fox News"

[edit]

the wikipedia says "In March 2019, on her show Justice with Judge Jeanine Pirro criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar for questioning the loyalty of American Jews to the US," but Omar did not do that. An argument could certainly be made that she did, but stating it as a fact - especially without a source - is a blatant lie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nomorestrawmen (talkcontribs) 09:32, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request to add “allegedly” before “false claims” in this paragraph. The case has not concluded, and the allegations have Not Yet been proven.

She has been named a defendant in a 2021 lawsuit by the company Smartmatic, in relation to false claims of election fraud in the 2020 United States presidential election.[1] Raudrhauk (talk) 22:51, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Paragraph should state “allegedly false claims,” because the case hasn’t gone to trial and nothing has been proven either way regarding the Plaintiff’s claim. Raudrhauk (talk) 22:54, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Rent control

I'm pretty sure there was rent control during World War II. Please check it out. If there was I was only 12 when the war ended so have no idea whether FDR or congress instituted rent control. 172.77.152.219 (talk) 22:58, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

She was proven correct

[edit]

The Trump Russia collusion conspiracy was proven false. Many outlets have published withdrawals and rebuttals. The nugget at the center of the conspiracy was the “Steele Dossier” which was funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign. Let’s tell the truth in Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8807:320A:A800:5EA:5ADE:C3DF:5FD8 (talk) 08:29, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe I missed it, but I don't see this article says she asserted Trump Russia collusion was false. The Steele Dossier did not trigger the FBI investigation (the actions of a Trump campaign advisor did) and was used only to get a FISA warrant renewal on Page after he left the Trump campaign (he also had FISA warrants on him before he joined the campaign because, among other things, he was associating with at least one known Russian SVR undercover agent). Who are the "many" who have published "withdrawals and rebuttals?" soibangla (talk) 10:17, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

you can not prove or state Pirro made false claims about voting machine fraud. Voting machine fraud is very possible. You put her in the light of being a liar. This needs to be removed. 38.133.115.25 (talk) 02:13, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
