FoldiMate is a laundry folding machine with an optional de-wrinkling solution.

History

Foldimate was founded by Gal Rosov, an Israeli-born software developer and product manager.[1]An early prototype of the robot was presented at CES 2017.[2]

In January 2018, BSH Hausgeräte expressed an interest in partnering with Foldimate.[3]

Overview

The FoldiMate is slightly larger than a standard washing machine. According to the developers it can fold a full wash in less than 4 minutes.[4]

The user clips each piece of clothing onto the machine’s integrated rack, which holds about 15 to 20 pieces. As each item is pulled into the machine another items can be clipped so there is no limit of items. The machine can take shirts, tops, trousers and dresses, but small pieces of clothing cannot be folded, such as underwear and some larger items such as bed sheets.[5][6]
