She was the eldest daughter to Dr. Sailendra Narayan Tripathy is a professor, Columnist and one of the popular Indian English Poets of the 90's, who blazed a new trail in English Poetry and teacher Ashoka Tripathy. She spent her entire childhood in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. After getting huge response and success from the regional language film industries then she went for higher studies at [[Asian College of Journalism, Chennai|Asian college of journalism]] at [[Chennai]] and also she was trying hard to get an entry in [[Bollywood]] while studying. She was active in the field of modelling and many [[social activities]] while pursuing her studies and has rewarded many times from different organisations and government for social works.

However she got a call from director [[Tarun Madan Chopra]] to act as an lead lady in the movie [[W (2014 film)|W]] based on the women [[empowerment]] in India and portrayed the role of a rape victim.
