consensus
Yes, there are a number of opinions about consensus, and that essay is a very thoughtful one and represents a lot of people's thinking. But even a weak argument that there was existing consensus doesn't equate to "there was no consensus to add so we must remove".

Your argument that the content should never have been added before developing consensus completely rejects WP:BOLD, which is -- unlike the essay -- actual P&G. In fact that's what surprises me most about this argument you're making, as given your experience on other projects I'd have thought you'd know the difference between an essay and policy, for instance.

But more importantly, that argument in that discussion is not helping you. It really doesn't matter whether the addition had consensus at the time, a single person objecting now isn't enough for anyone to say there is consensus against keeping it/consensus to remove.

Your best argument is the merits: "The NYT doesn't represent a worldview source, and we should make a change because of that. We may have had presumed consensus because it's been in there so long, but consensus can change, and in this instance it should." Or whatever, that's just my example of what I think the argument is or could be. But objecting to that (2016?) addition because we can't find whatever discussion there might have been first (and the editor who made it has some dim memory that there was discussion, so let's AGF on that) is just a distraction from the actual good argument, which is that the NYT isn't as useful as something else might be. Speedy deletion nomination of Abortion in Hong Kong

Hello RZuo,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Abortion in Hong Kong for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Anita Lee requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ─ The Aafī (talk) 15:15, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Page move result

RZuo, you reverted edits that were follow-ups to a page move and unsynchronized the person's name to the page title. Since you did not explain it in your edit summary, why did you do that? Those should be reverted back to synchronize with the article title, so please do so. P.I. Ellsworth  ed. put'r there 17:32, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 1. those two edits contradict the references.
 2. those edits contradict the person's true name.
 3. no wikipedia rule mandates changing the formal and correct name of a person to match the title of the page (and the title is wrong). try "synchronising" Bill Clinton.--RZuo (talk) 18:24, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tuya Inc. moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Tuya Inc., is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Disambiguation link notification for February 9

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Marina Diamandis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jack Patterson. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Roast goose

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Roast goose shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Epidemiology of gonorrhoea. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:54, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
