Mufti Shariful Haq Amjadi (20 April 1921–11 May 2000) was an Indian Islamic scholar, muhaddith, mufassir, commentator of Bukhari, debater, jurist, teacher, author, researcher, and spiritual successor of Mustafa Raza Khan Qadri, Former Grand Mufti of India.[1][2][3]

Early life

He was born in India and received his education in Islamic jurisprudence and theology. He studied under scholars and became well-versed in various Islamic sciences.[4][5]

Life

He is known for his commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari. His commentary provides valuable insights, explanations, and context to the Hadith narrations found in Sahih al-Bukhari.[6] He performed his first Hajj in 1985, his first Umrah in 1996, his second Hajj in 1997, and his second Umrah in 1998.[7]

Death

He died on 11 May 2000, His burial took place in Madinatul Ulama, Ghosi, Uttar Pradesh, India.[14]
