Harry Potter[edit]

Release dates for popular culture are not contained in these articles as per the guideline. Do not add images to this article, they are not needed and there simply is not enough space and is in violation of Wiki policy. Mkdwtalk 18:37, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is a list of future significant releases and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows belongs here as it is a largely anticipated event.

As directed in its entry, it should only be placed in 2007 in film. Eventually this article will list international holidays and news events only. Those interested in Harry Potter can either look in film sections or the article itself. If you wish to take this to mediation or a review, I would be happy to comply, but as per the common practice on these articles I can almost guarentee it will be removed. Perhaps this is indicative of its unsuitability for inclusion upon this page, but Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a book, not a film. Of course, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (film) is coming out in July 2007 as well. Themillofkeytone 23:18, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The simple matter of the subject is that thousands of movies, books, games, toys, concerts, benefits, world publicity campaign, and other popular culture events happen every day. Wikipedia has a very strict policy about advertisements per WP:ADVERT. Take a careful look at Wikipedia itself, it has no banners or pop ups and its articles are about encyclopedic information. Now, Harry Potter may make this article, but not as a future scheduled event. Perhaps it becomes greatly covered by the media as the largest grossing film of all time, or some horrific disaster happens, but right now its only a movie like everything else.
