Supporters of the Argentina national football team react as they are knocked out of the 2006 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals by hosts Germany. La Selección, as the team is known locally, have won the World Cup on three occasions and the Copa América fourteen times. Players who have worn the national colours include Diego Maradona, Gabriel Batistuta, Mario Kempes, Osvaldo Ardiles and Ricardo Villa.
