Peter Demetz
Peter Demetz (born Petr Demetz, October 21, 1922 – April 2024) was an American scholar of German literature and a Sterling Professor at Yale University, and also a published author. He was also the Craig Distinguished Visiting Professor at Rutgers University.[1][2][3][4]
Demetz was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, on October 21, 1922.[5] He turned 100 in October 2022,[6][7] and died in April 2024, at the age of 101.[8]
