Maclean Porter, better known by his stage name Nessly, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born on January 14, 1995, in Brooklyn, New York. Nessly has gained recognition for his distinctive blend of melodic rap, trap influences, and innovative use of autotune.
Nessly began his musical journey at a young age, honing his skills and developing his unique style. In 2016, he gained significant attention with the release of his breakout single, "Crying in Codeine." The track showcased his ability to seamlessly fuse catchy melodies with emotionally charged lyrics, captivating a wide audience and establishing him as an emerging talent in the rap scene.

In a feature interview with Billboard, Nessly mentions Lil Wayne, Drake and Kanye West as influences on his music. He doesn't write his lyrics in advance, explaining that "Everything is off the dome."[1] Some of the songs on Wildflower were produced by TM88.[1]
Nessly's 2019 album Standing on Satan's Chest was "about overcoming adversity, judgment and circumstance", according to Nessly.[5]
