The rules of the Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos contest have been updated for 2023 to restrict participation on the English Wikipedia to extended-confirmed users. You may of course contribute to the project in other ways; please see the Task Center if you need any ideas! We're always looking for bright contributors such as yourself to join in and help improve Wikipedia in these places! Please give us a hand if you're willing and able to! You can continue to add images to articles as usual without the #WPWP tag. However, please note they will not be counted as contest entries. Regarding the Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos (WPWP) contest: Please keep in mind that all images that are added to articles must be relevant to the given article subject or content, meet a level of appropriate quality, and they must be properly captioned. Remember: Take it slow, and focus on quality over quantity. Editors who cause repeated disruption to articles may be blocked. According to contest rules, "users who repeatedly add images without proper captions, or who repeatedly add irrelevant images or images that clearly fail to meet the expected level of quality may be disqualified from the contest." |
