Luda Diatchenko

Luda Diatchenko is an academic and researcher at McGill University in Quebec, Canada, with a research focus on pain in humans.[1] In 2023, she was inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.[2] Her work has covered genetics and pharmaceuticals, including finding that anti-inflammatory drugs can contribute to the development of chronic pain.[3] She had previously worked at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.[4]

Diatchenko holds appointments as the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Human Pain Genetics,[4] the Pfizer Canada Professor in Pain Research,[2] and a membership in the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. In 2019 she received the title of Honourary Skou Professor from Aarhus University.[5]
