The Katoch–Sikh war was fought in 1801 by the Sikh forces led by Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the Katoch forces by Raja Sansar Chand Katoch.
Background and battle[edit]
Raja Sansar Chand had begun to enter Sada Kaur's territory.[1][2] He was planning to further advance into Sada Kaur's territories.[3][4] Sansar Chand had extended his authority to Bajwara.[5] The Maharaja led an army of 6,000 horsemen into Kangra and drove Sansar Chand away with the help of Fateh Singh Ahluwalia.[4][6][7]
Aftermath[edit]
Sansar Chand again sought help from Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1809 while being attacked by Amar Singh Thapa which led to Nepal–Sikh war.[8]
