Isaiah Rahsaan Hill (born October 2, 2002) is an American model and actor. He is known for his role as Jace Carson in the Apple TV+ series Swagger, a character loosely based on Kevin Durant.

Life and career[edit]

Isaiah Hill was born in South Orange, New Jersey. His father Malaney Hill, is the brother of musician and actress Lauryn Hill, and his mother Felicia, is a marketer.[1] His cousins are model Selah Marley and reggae artist YG Marley. As a child, he made a brief appearance on the American television series Sesame Street.[2] Growing up, he aspired to be a professional basketball player.[3] He initially played high school basketball for Union Catholic Regional High School in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, prior to playing for Columbia High School after he transferred to the school during his senior year.[4]

In 2021, Hill landed his first official acting role as Jace Carson, a character loosely based on the life of basketball player Kevin Durant in the Apple TV+ sports drama Swagger.[5][6] The series ran for two seasons.[7] In 2022, he won the award for Best Ensemble at the African-American Film Critics Association TV Awards, as part of the cast.[8] BET placed Hill on their inaugural Young Black Hollywood Stars to Watch list.[9]
