Access to User Page on wiki mobile app

The mobile app is missing an option to access the User page. I have many articles that I create/edit; I spend more time being logged in on my user page than reading articles. I hadn't found any where that allows me to log in nor access/view my user page. If there is such an option already, there isnt any indication that shows it. Thus, it forces one to access User page through the non-mobile portion; Google Chrome app is, in itself, a severe pain in the making (I find it more convenient to simply avoid viewing any particular website on Google Chrome by using the mobile app variant provided). Even when I'm accessed to my User page on Google Chrome, my non-submitted articles on my personal sandbox pages have many of my templates viewed halfway..side-swiping does no effect as well zooming out. Plus, any infoboxes or similar ones that expands dont even work....bottom line: Google Chrome is completely worthless for wikipedia.

Please update/fix mobile app! If User pages can be accessed at ease on the mobile app...i will diligently donate a generous portion than what i ordinarily do..provided that Im on budget.

Some ideas that will greatly improve the mobile version of wikipedia

The mobile version of Wikipedia is very nice (I actually prefer it over the regular version) but I have some ideas to make it better

(I use wikipedia mobile on an iPhone- but I assume that it's the same on any mobile device) (Some of these might be applicable for the regular version of Wikipedia as well)

1. The ability to EDIT articles from it. (It annoys me when I'm viewing an article and I see vandalism in it and there's nothing I can do but ignore it at the time) (I've read on the front page there that this isn't possible at the moment- But I think that would be a VERY nice feature.

2. Get rid of any tags "NPOV, Citation needed," and so on.. on the mobile version. They just make it look unprofessional and specifically, the citation needed template is extremely abused and overused (literally, i've seen an article where every sentence finished with a CN tag, or basic facts such as "Greg was born in San Diego" with CN tags among them- I'd suggest just getting rid of the tag on wikipedia completely but the idea would get rejected by a bunch of idiots.) If there is no intention for the mobile version to have editing in it, then the CN tag especially should not be viewed in the mobile version, since it's mainly a tool for editors- and means just about nothing to the casual reader- other then to imply doubt about a presented fact. Since all the tags are tools for editors (at least that's what they are supposed to be) they shouldn't be on a streamlined mobile version, if editing is not included. (possibly have an options to display the tags or not- it increases readability and makes it look more professional)

3. Categories should be viewable at the bottom of each page.

4. in regular wikipedia, External Links appear differently than Interwiki links. In Mobile version, I can't tell the difference between the two.

5. Red interwiki Links should have an option to be viewed as just regular black text.

6. The references column (and all numbered references throughout the article) should either have an option to be toggled off or just be removed from mobile version because[15] It can be kind of[16] annoying when you are trying to read a long article [17]. additionally, the references columns normally aren't readable on the mobile site due to long URL's

7. If I click on a wikipedia article, it loads the regular website for about 10 seconds, then toggles to the mobile version- wasting 10 seconds.. not sure if that's a technical thing that can be fixed or if it has to be like that.

8. basically, a panel to configure how you view articles on the mobile version could remove some of my complaints and get it so people could have it how they want to view it.

I don't know if there actually is a display preferences for the mobile version, but if there is, I can't find it.

If I may add my own suggestion, it would be some sort of conditional construct (does it already exist?) so that when I'm authoring content, I can specify different formatting for a mobile device. As I described on the Talk:C shell page, I've used blockquoting on some lists of features, where the lists were long and each item needed description. It works well on a laptop or desktop to let you see them as lists but it looks silly on my Droid. I wish I could fix that. Msnicki (talk) 19:48, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Excellent wishlist to which can offer a few quibbles and an addition:

Yes. Tablet computers can go to the full version for editing but it's impractical on my little Samsung Intercept and most phones.
Yes, hiding warning flags would be a good option, though of course editing is the proper response to the general plague of excessive tagging.
Better to put Categories and other non discoursive elements in an auxiliary menu.
Your other points, I can agree though you have correctly prioritized them lower.

My addition: Maps. I love traveling around with the Wikipedia layer of Google Maps on my phone showing W symbols for every local Wikipedia article and clicking on it to see the article. But, having followed an internal link to a related article that also has coordinates (next train station, town's famous school or church, whatever), there is nothing to click to return to the map at the new location. Interlanguage links and Opera Mini

Hi! After the latest redesign of Wikipedia, interlanguage box expands via javascript and as a result it can't be expanded in Opera Mini. I had not that problem with old wikipedia design. Mobile wikipedia (m.wikipedia.org) doesn't offer interlanguage box for articles. I know it's possible to register and turn on the old design, but some users don't prefer to register, and in some cases loggin into account is unsafe. Official Wikipedia app for Android?

Scroll down when editing a wiki page

Ok this may be dumb question but here goes: I like to view wiki as a normal webpage on my iphone. I touch edit, and I get the normal editing screen with the main text sub-window. I touch the sub-window with the text to edit, but I would like to scroll down in the sub-window. The problem is that when I touch the screen to scroll down, the whole page moves and not the text subwindow. how do i get down to the bottom? --DIREKTOR ^(TALK) 13:40, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

The only way I know of is to tap the edit box to activate it, then touch it again and hold until the "circle zoom" comes up. At that point you should be able to scroll down very slowly just by sliding your finger down past the edit box. It is not rapid or efficient at all. Probably a better solution is to enable section editing in your preferences so the content of the edit boxes are more manageable. –CWenger (talk) 15:04, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

horrible. This turns any attempt to edit a longer talk section an hour-long process, with the annoying inch-by-inch scroll being required before each post. This effectively renders wikipedia un-editable via iPhone. I personally cannot believe this wasn't fixed somehow. Yeah it is unfortunate. I wonder if this same difficulty exists on an iPad? These are prime Wikipedia editing platforms that are going unutilized. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that there are zero Wikipedia apps that support editing. –CWenger (talk) 19:37, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

Have been struggling with this for a while. If I have to edit a largish block I'll generally activte the edit box, hold a finger down on text until I get a "Select all". Copy and paste into the notepad. The notepad allows for much faster scrolling. It does mean that there is no preview available until you cut and paste it back into the edit box, but it's a work-around that I use at times. PuppyOnTheRadio (talk) 03:17, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Portals instead of today's featured article

On the official mobile version of Wikipedia, I suggest replacing today's featured article with main portals instead, similarly to the standard main page:

Symbian^3 redirect

At the moment I end up on the normal desktop version of Wikipedia on my N8 - I didn't even know theres was a mobile version until I tried an iPhone. Neither the default browser nor Opera Mobile appear to be redirected at the moment. They are not on the supported list, but work perfectly if I manually navigate to the mobile site. Could whoever is responsible (or knows how) add one? If not for Symbian, at least Opera Mobile.

Sub-section bug

I just saw a web page with a link to the URL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rope_%28film%29#Long_takes while using the native Android browser on my HTC Desire HD.

On Rope (film), Long takes is a level-3 heading.

I followed the link, and was redirected to the mobile version, but landed at the top of the page, with the sections collapsed and showing only level-2 headings. I then had to open several level-2 sections before finding #Long_takes Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Andy's talk; Andy's edits 11:21, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

On checking the issue also occurs with URLs for level-2 headings, such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QRpedia#Implementations / QRpedia#Implementations (though obviously level-2 headings are displayed, on the mobile version, so easier to find). the 7val site doesn't seem to support logging in or editing

Not sure if this is fixed or not, but I'm a bit suprised WP is comfortable endorsing logging in through another site... especially for admin. I understand 7val may be a fine company, but I'm wary of giving logging in with my admin PW through that site. 7 04:59, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

No editing?

I've been able to log in and make the edit shown in the picture using my Android device. Granted, I had to permanently disable the mobile site, but it is possible to edit from an Android phone. I thought it was because as a sysop I had WP:IPEXEMPT status, but then I realised I'd done it from an alternate screenname with no IPEXEMPT set. Matthewedwards : Chat 08:17, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Pencil Button Disappeared

E-book reader

Move the "mobile view" link from bottom of page to the top

for the love of god can someone move the "mobile site" link from the bottom of the page to the top. I agree. Today on my Samsung Intercept Android phone, every time I tapped the W in Google Earth for the Wikipedia article, the desktop view came up instead of the mobile view. I have no idea whether to blame Samsung, Google, Wikimedia or the Almighty for that, but surely blame for the "Mobile vew" link being on the bottom belongs somewhere in the Wikicomplex. There are ways to restore the mobile view as the default; first (updated 2012-08-15), try clicking the "Go to the mobile website" on the Wikipedia:Enable_mobile_version ~~superseded "Go to the Mobile Site" link~~ which attempts to clear the stopMobileRedirect cookie. If that doesn't work, the talk page for the Enable mobile versions has more workarounds. For a long term fix, Bug 38009 tracks this problem. sn‾uǝɹɹɐʍɯ (talk) 02:43, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks but, umm, the "special" link leads my new Android phone (HTC EVO V 4G now) from the mobile version of this talk page to the desk version of en Main. Am I failing to understand? Anyway I shall be grateful when the phone can more easily switch back and forth between the two versions while keeping the mobile version as default when coming from Google Earth or elsewhere. For that matter Google ought to provide two buttons, not one, but that's definitely not Wiki's problem while I hope our own clever and industrious developers can do something about the switching method. Hopefully the new (2012-08-15) stop gap solution added by TheDJ solved the problem switching between versions. The Wikipedia:Enable_mobile_version page also has an updated "Go to the mobile website" link. Bug in Opera Mobile 12

I use Opera Mobile on an HTC Sensation (Android 4) and since the recent update to Opera 12 mobile Wikipedia isn't working correctly. Expanding subsections takes many taps to register and when subsections are opened they only open for about 1.5 inch of screen space, with remaining text cut off sometimes showing the top half of the letters on the next line. I haven't been able to find a fix or workaround other than using desktop mode or using the stock browser.

Any ideas? I suspect the problem might also be with Opera. thefunkygibson^T¤C 16:57, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

Mobile search

(no idea if this should go here) Recently, the search function added a search suggestion list as you type. This is nice, but the site now forces the user to click a suggestion when one used to be able to just hit the Enter key. Having to unnecessarily take your hands off the keyboard, or keypad in this case, is pretty annoying. It also makes searching for things that don't have their own articles impossible-- for example, there's information about Vivaldi's "Gardellino" flute concerto in the article about his Opus 10, but since it doesn't have its own article you can't search for it on the mobile site anymore. Prior to the change (and on the regular Wiki site), you'd end up on the Search Results page, where you could select an appropriate article.

Also, it would be nice if one could use the arrow keys to scroll through the suggestion list and hit Enter to select.

Android coords bug?

Waiting two hours at DMV this morning I downloaded the Android official app to my new HTC EVO V 4G phone. I was pleased to see coordinates, for example in Governors Island where the coords appear twice. Unfortunately, tapping either copy of the coords merely brought me to the same article page, differing only in that the title was followed by a # sign. Shouldn't it open the built in Google Maps application to show the location of the island?

In the .m. Mobile Version of the Web page, the coords appear only once, and tapping brings me the same Geohack page as when I'm using my desk computer, which is difficult to use on the small phone screen. Seems to me, this too ought to go straight to the Google Maps app or whatever similar map program may be installed. But at least this one isn't broken; it's merely poor. Go back to the old mobile site

I absolutely hate the new version. Everyone already knows of the problems accessing the mobile site, and yet somehow it was a smart idea to add at the very bottom of the page a 'more' option, so that if I have trouble with the mobile site loading and want to switch to the desktop version and I have wait for every section and opening pic to load. Disable wikipedia mobile

Me too. I really want to see the full layout on my android tablet.

If you look at the bottom of your screen you will see an option for "desk top version" - click it and this will take you away from the read-only version or mobile web version of Wikipedia to the normal (non-mobile) version. You can also do a goggle search for Wikipedia and chose the web version (en.wikipedia.org/) over the mobile version (http://m.wikipedia.org).Moxy (talk) 21:49, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

This no longer works, permanent disable, and now I have to check the desktop option in my browser or I it forces a redirect to mobile even when I select desktop in Google searches. This has changed over the past few weeks, and it is really annoying. Wikipedia's mobile is worthless, why would I use a 4G phone or ipad and choose to access half the site? Why is there no option to disable the mobile version of wikipedia? I HATE IT but no longer have the option of not seeing it - except to click on it every single time I view an article. WHY DID THE COOKIE GO AWAY?

I also hate the mobile version coming up when I google something and don't notice that the link is to the mobile version. There should be a preference to permanently disable the mobile view/version, and/or the link at the bottom, DeskView, should be DISABLE MOBILE VIEW, and be permanent, and should be at the TOP of a wiki article screen, not at the bottom. Tag: Mobile edits

Just noticed on my watch list, a tag of Tag: Mobile edit on an edit by someone else. Other than using the normal version of wikipedia through a mobile or tablet browser (which I am doing right now), how is mobile editing possible? I just tried the Android and en.m versions and didn't seem to be able to edit - and the watchlist functionality of en.m must have been designed by someone who had never used wikipedia, it is completely useless. So, has mobile editing been implemented in an app yet? The-Pope (talk) 03:06, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

New mobile, old was bad enough

I used to be able to just enter www.en.wik, etc., and get the desktop site, but now, unless I force check my browser to select the desktop site, wikipedia redirects me to the mobile. If I remove the l, it still redirects to mobile. Why? The mobile site is unreadable.

Why don't the developers stop this? On my large screen 4G cell phone, there is no need to use the mobile site, and by removing the "m," I am indicating that I do not want to use it. And, because Wikipedia is the only primitive site that does this, if I have multiple open windows in my browser (Android), then, every time I switch between windows, I have to check or uncheck the force desktop. Wikipedia mobile is unreadable. If an article has short sections, it takes you ten times as long to open each section as reading the article takes.

People have mobile devices with high capabilities, mobile Wikipedia is awful, why force users to greater lengths to get to the point where they can read the article? Yes, there still are readers. -198.228.216.164 (talk) 05:35, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Agreed too. While users can typically change the user agent in their mobile browser (to "fool" WP into "believing" a user is on a PC), most users will prefer not to do that when viewing most sites.
If default mobile browsers allowed this UA setting on a per-site basis, then this would be fine--but they don't. And I would call this a browser issue, except that most sites are far less aggressive in forcing users to view their mobile version (irrespective of the address the user enters).
Simply put, WP's behavior here is obstructive, unusual, and unnecessary, and that makes this a WP problem. Deserves more than just consideration, based on the wealth of Google results for this problem (spread over several years by now). 208.54.87.130 (talk) 18:20, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

How to get my watchlist on Android mobile

I've just got a new phone: Android Galaxy Fame with Android 4.1.2.

On my old San Francisco phone, I could happily read my watchlist, in the destop layout but with lines wrapped appropriately for the small screen. (But I can't remember how I got to that happy state, as for many months I just picked it up from Bookmarks each time I looked at it).

On the new one, I can't as yet see my watchlist other than in raw desktop view, with un-wrapped lines: not really usable.

I've installed the Android Wikipedia app, which is fine for articles but doesn't offer links to anything like Watchlists.

I've just input the URL as en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Watchlist, and got a horrible format I've come across occasionally before, where after several clicks I can see "All" and "Modified", but with no aggregation of the multiple changes to a page.

Any ideas as to how to get a readable, functional, watchlist on this device? PamD 23:08, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

@PamD: If you use the mobile website in your browser (en.m.wikipedia.org) there is the ability to log in and use your watchlist (among other things, like editing and photo uploads). PamD, Steven should have noted that the mobile version of the watchlist is missing most features and seems to only work for pages in the article/main namespace. That being said, once you get to the mobile version of the watchlist, you can switch it over to the desktop version to see all of the other changes and use other features. Can someone help me? I just tried the Experimental version of Wikipedia Mobile, and promptly switched back to the Beta version, as I couldn't even edit it. I should say that the experimental branch off of Beta is often wildly broken or off-kilter in places, which is why they make it slightly hard to get to (e.g. only available to Beta users). It looks like you were able to file the bugs after all, Nick :) As Steven said, the experimental version is highly unstable and volatile; we make that pretty clear in the disclaimer when you opt in to use it. Wikimedia app - manual, updates listed on bugzilla, and user help links

I've just loaded the Wikimedia app (1.3.4) and struck by a few questions. Help appreciated:

There is no user help or help link provided for newcomers to the app. I also can't find one via Google or linked from this wiki page. Does one exist?
There is a reference to "v1.4beta1" or "Wikimedia Beta" in Google Play but no such app seems to be linked or discussed on any Wikimedia site, or downloadable from Wikimedia's file servers.
A number of bugs and features in Bugzilla are tagged as "resolved" but there doesn't seem to be a download or snapshot that contains these resolutions. Do these exist?

Help article: Which section should Google Web Transcoder subsection go under?

After learning of Wapedia's closure, I found out and wrote some helpful information about how to still access Wikipedia with a WAP-only browser, and included Google Web Transcoder (GWT) under Mobile website versions section, given that GWT is a third-party service that transforms Wikipedia pages into the WAP format. — It seems to me that the GWT subsection subject matter overlaps with the topics of both 'Mobile website versions' and 'Browsing options for older phones' sections; Therefore the question is, if the Google Web Transcoder subsection should be moved up into the Browsing options for older phones section.. -Mardus (talk) 03:55, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Disclaimer link needs to move

There is a discussion about medical disclaimers on specific articles at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Medicine/RFC_on_medical_disclaimer, during which it came up that the WP:General disclaimer link on the mobile version can only be found by readers who get curious and click the icon with the three bars at the top left of the screen. Because a reader may not be aware that is even a link, or might say he wasn't, that doesn't seem like a sufficient disclaimer. It is true that there is a very brief disclaimer in the WP:Terms of use that is linked at the bottom, but one can argue that it is insufficient, at least morally. In any case, many think the disclaimer should be made more prominent in the desktop version that has it plainly at the bottom of each page, so I think it is appropriate at least to keep it there in the mobile version, beside the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Confirmation?

If I click on the "Thank" link in the heading of a diff, the system asks me if I want to thank that editor, so I can confirm or not. That's fine. But if I'm looking at diffs on my mobile phone and accidentally hit the huge green "Thank" button which is in the bottom right corner very near to my phone's "back" button, there's no such safeguard. That's a problem. Please ensure that mobile users are protected from accidental thanking.

Mobile version bad

Can wikipedia simply stick to the desktop version also for mobile access! The mobile version gives a lot of difficulties and IMHO doesn't have any further advantage compared to the desktop version. i hit mobile view and it switches to the mobile view BUT when i change the language it goes back to desktop view.

Permanently disable the mobile access for iPad users

Why can't I permanently disabled the mobile access? The desktop version looks great on my iPad. There is absolutely no need to enforce the mobile access on iPad users (from google I'm automatically redirected to the mobile access version. This started 1-2 weeks ago). Amen to that! My iPad has a screen resolution that is probably higher than most desktop computer screens' five years ago. Even though there is nothing particularly wrong with the mobile version, it offers no advantages either (unless possibly on a very low-bandwidth cell connection, which I rarely have). This is a problem for me too. I have selected 'Desktop' about ten times in the last two weeks, and the site keeps switching me back to Mobile this is a REAL nuisance with the Mobile/Desktop switcher link at the bottom of the page. it appears the preference is saved in a cookie, so once the Desktop link is clicked, the choice is retained until you clear your cookies. I agree that moving or duplicating the link at the top of the page would be better. I am typically disappointed with the mobile rendering prior to reaching the end of the article. Create a bookmark to your watchlist
Clear your safari cookies
Open your bookmark, it will open the mobile version. DON'T LOG IN
Request the desktop version by clicking the address bar and drag down and select the desktop option
Login. From now on you will be in desktop mode

Don't know why this isn't a problem with my iPad Air original. I switch easily between mobile and "desktop" views when I want, and seldom get stuck either way. The problem I do get is, when editing mobile, the green "Save" button slides up out of view. I turn the tablet from portrait to landscape and back, to restore the button. Nuisance. I recently tried to point a new editor using the mobile version of Wikipedia to an article's talk page and failed to find an easy way to do so. Is there a link to an article's talk page on the mobile version of Wikipedia, and if so, where? If not, wouldn't adding such a link be an issue of high importance? correction: I'm pretty sure there used to be a pages icon on all articles but it's not there now. You can get a talk page by searching for Talk:Leeds by that full title, though this isn't satisfactory. When you get there, there's a talk page icon , though it doesn't seem to have any effect as it would go to [[Talk:Talk:Leeds]]. All very odd. And of course many talk pages like Talk:Silverdale, Lancashire look empty in mobile view because templates such as wikiproject banners are invisible. Not just collapsed but completely hidden. The mobile team experiments with UI until they make something works. Stuff appears, disappears and at some point settles. Seconded. This is an essential feature that simply needs to be added to the app and the mobile site ASAP. Currently using the mobile site is just annoying fiddling around - it's not making things easier when you got to switch to the desktop version every minute or so. AGREEING WITH THOSE ABOVE ME!!!!!

I am a member of the Tolkien Society at Oxford. I am a newbie, and will most certainly not do the formatting correctly, here, on my first go, so if you find any formatting errors, kindly correct them, but please be civil and save any insults for Parliament, thank you.

That said: I just read some excruciatingly incorrect information regarding Tolkien's mythological world on wiki. None of the citations came from anything Tolkien or the Estate has written, but rather came from lay opinions who's works don't even rank in the top 100 of knowledgeable Tolkienologists. I'm on the move, and carry with me a small pocket tablet that more than suits any need I have - until I use wiki. To address the apparent misinformation, I do not wish to edit, but rather cite corrections on the Talk page. To my chagrin, the mobile program has no access to the Talk pages.

I can see from other posts, here, before me, that this is a long standing problem. Truly, wiki has no real desire for accuracy, as inaccurate information cannot be pointed out by anyone using a mobile device. I am willing to point out errors in Tolkien information, but I will not do the editing, myself, as I am not the folly who wrote the errors in the first place. He who writes in error must be the one to make the corrections - I realize wiki allows for the correction of other's errors, but correcting someone else's work post factum without telling them first is rude, arrogant, and improper. The talk pages is where to address these issues.

Now, wiki, after years of ignoring this issue, it's time to hire an IT staff that knows how to do this, (and may I also recommend creating an edit platform on mobile where I can write like a living soul and not a computer). I hope all my, and et al., words will not again fall on deaf ears - but perhaps we who post here are wasting our time, and are merely talking to those character types who incessantly annoy everyone, because they believe they've arrived at their destination in life, when, really, they have narry even left the station. Time will tell. Again, please forgive my formatting.

The only way to do this from the mobile version of the website is to tap on the url in your browser and add "Talk:" before the name of the article (if it is a regular article). Or if the article is in a special namespace (title begins with a word followed by a colon, eg. "Wikipedia:" or "Help:"), then add "_talk" before the colon:

Mobile version of site does not show edit change

I switch to the desktop site and it works and shows properly. I changed browsers and the mobile site still was not updated with my edit. And on top of that, both browsers were having issues with refreshing the mobile article that I had just edited, even though I edited in only one of the browsers (Cookies are separate). I've seen something similar in recent days. After editing a section in Mobile View (usually in Simple English WP) it doesn't show the change. Switch to Desktop, and see it. However, going to Watchlist as Desktop, and from there to the just edited page, and from there to Mobile, I see the change. Thus, it's being properly updated for me, just not right away, which will be a much bigger problem for beginners than it is for me. Yes, it needs fixing. Probably just a caching problem (so the browser's fault). It should also show on mobile when hard refreshing the page (if possible with the browser) or clearing the cache. How to create a new section?

I didn't notice a New Section or + tab. Is there a way for mobile users to make one other than editing at the end of the last section? Whatever the answer is, it should be mentioned in the article as it is a pretty obvious question. It shows clickable section headings and has an "Add discussion" button at the top, leading to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Mobile_access#/talk/new.

If I start at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help_talk:Mobile_access and click "Mobile view" at the bottom then I get to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help_talk:Mobile_access. Wikipedia Offline issues?

The reviews for the Wikipedia Offline app linked in this article for the iPhone apps had at least a few people complaining of this (paid) app simply not functioning, even calling it a scam. Should it perhaps be removed from the list if this is true? I understand this isn't a big thing for us to judge and evaluate the apps but linking to a non-functioning paid app in this semi-official way seems like a problem. That said I can't really confirm this as I don't have an iPhone myself and I wasn't going to muck with the article without solid cause so if someone could check this or let me know, that'd be great. Prevent switching to mobile view

Is there anything I can do to prevent my watchlist from switching to mobile view while working on my tablet? I typically open multiple tabs from my watch list to review and edit them. Problem is that when I get back to the watchlist tab, it now consistently auto-refreshes into mobile view. This has only become a noticeable problem in the past few days. Right now all the normal quotes are ABSOLUTELY HUGE for no reason. If anything, the quotation font size should be smaller than of regular text, as it is with quote boxes. SNAAAAKE!! (talk) 11:03, 6 April 2019 (UTC)

Reverting vandalism

Hi, Might be a stupid question but how does one revert vandalism using the mobile version?,
I have no undo button - I've tried going to the last clean version and clicking edit however this is the result.... (Ie it just assumed I wanted to edit the live page and not a revision version),

I can use the desktop version however that constantly involves zooming in on the page (just for it to keep zoom back out again here and there) ....

Also unrelated but can a close button please be added to the thanks option as as can be seen in the image it takes up a good chunk of my screen and I don't find it helpful in the slightest.

Is This A General Problem

I was wondering is it just my device or are we all experiencing this problem whereby deleted articles still appear in blue text as opposed to appearing in red & this other problem where you have to literally click on an image before it shows as opposed to images automatically opening by themselves? @Celestina007: All users of the mobile site see blue links instead of red. A fix is on the way at phab:T256503. I posted an immediate CSS fix at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#Red links are shown as blue in mobile version. The image issue only affects some users. Wikipedia:Help desk/Archives/2020 June 7#"Tap to display image" why? has a possible fix if you use Safari. PrimeHunter (talk) 20:00, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
