• The sample captures one of the many musical styles explored in the album Dreaming of You, illustrating that the song "Missing My Baby" differs from a number of tracks on the album: the song was Selena's first contemporary R&B song. It was remixed by her brother, A.B. Quintanilla III, to be added in Dreaming of You.
• The sample captures the opening of the song, and is only 30s in length, at 67kbps. The 67 kbps is well below the quality of the original recording, but slightly above the average rate suggested by Wikipedia:Manual of Style (music samples). This is because the suggested rate of 64kbps distorts the quality of the string arrangement in the song's background, which is described in the article.
