This scene of actors in an English court masque is small vignette in the lower right corner of copper engraving portrait of George Villiers, First Duke of Buckingham by Jacobus Houbraken. This portrait was published in London in 1740. Houbraken is considered one of the finest portrait engravers of the 18th century.
