Yoshiaki Sukeno (助野嘉昭), born July 23, 1981, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese manga artist.
History[edit]
He graduated from Kyoto Seika University, Faculty of Arts Department of Manga Story Manga Course.
For the first half of 2006, Sukeno won 71st Tezuka Award for Kaette Kudasai (帰って下さい。). It was published in Monthly Shonen Jump 2006-08 issue. The oneshot was a prototype for his later series Binbougami ga! and was republished into it’s first volume.
Later that year, he created a short web series named Kyoto no Pagon (京都のパゴン) which is published into the Pagon website.
In 2008, he created a oneshot named Dr. Haido's Experiment Note (ハイド博士の実験ノート, Haido Hakase no Jikken Note) which was published in 2008-05 issue of Jump SQ.
Same year, but 2 months later, he started his first serialization with the series Binbougami ga! (貧乏神が!). The series started on 2008-07 issue of Jump SQ and continued until 2013-08 Issue, spanning 16 volumes. In June 2010, the series was adapted into 4 Vomic episodes. And in July 2012, the series was adapted into 13 episode anime done by Sunrise.
In July 2011, he created a new oneshot named Sakigake Majokko Gakuen! (魁☆魔女っ娘学園!), in the Jump SQ.LaB. Next month in August, he created another oneshot named Rad and Rinp (ラド&リンプ) in the Jump SQ.19 Summer issue.
In January 2012, he was awarded with Wakayama Prefecture Culture Award.
In November 2013, Sukeno started a new serialization named Twin Star Exorcists (双星の陰陽師) in the Jump SQ 2013-12 issue.
