An untitled, upcoming American biographical dramedy film is in development about the comedian Chris Farley portrayed by Paul Walter Hauser. The film is directed by Josh Gad from a screenplay by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber. The film is based on the The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts by Tom Farley Jr. and Tanner Colby and is produced by Lorne Michaels.

In April 2024, a biographical film based on The Chris Farley Show: A Biography in Three Acts by Tom Farley Jr. and Tanner Colby was revealed to be in development as it sought buyers. The package had a screenplay adapted by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber and included Paul Walter Hauser starring as Farley, Josh Gad directing, and Lorne Michaels producing.[1] Later that month, it was reported that New Line Cinema had emerged as the frontrunner to acquire rights to the film; the deal was confirmed a few days later, with the studio acquiring the project for $2.5 million.[2][3]
