W. Thomas Hawkins (born January 9, 1980) is a Democratic politician, land planner, and lawyer from Gainesville, Florida.[1][2] Hawkins served as an elected City Commissioner of Gainesville.[3] He is a fifth-generation Gainesville resident and is descendent of Gainesville mayor William Reuben Thomas who brought the University of Florida to Gainesville.[4][5]
