Draft:The Undying Nights Series

The Undying Nights Series is a collection of adult urban fantasy vampire novels written by Sophie Marie. They follow the story of Elma Davies, a young British college student from the sleepy village of Blackhaven, England. She is mercilessly tortured at home and in school by her new roommates; ready to end it all, her life takes a turn when she meets a mysterious young man with a dark secret. Together they explore an ancient world living amongst their own, and learn that there's a lot more to Elma than anyone could imagine.

Eternal Dance is the first novel in the series, and is immediately continued by the second book: Eternal Dance With Darkness. Set in the 21st century and blurred with traditions from the vampire's ancient world, the series is fast-paced and rich with detail. The third installment, Eternal Dance With Death, is set to be released in 2024.

Characters

• Elma Davies - the main protagonist, begins the series at seventeen and is currently nineteen as of Eternal Dance With Death. She is described as being petite with long honey blonde hair and blue eyes. Elma's personality shifts as her confidence grows throughout the series, she is a strong person despite the anxiety that shrouds her and with her newly found abilities she is ready to fulfill her destiny.
• Samuel 'Sam' Walters - Sam is frozen at twenty-one years old and is one of two major love interests for Elma. He is a member of the Modernist faction after leaving the Scavengers in the early 1920s. He met Elma when he was working as a history teacher at The Academy college in Blackhaven. He is described as tall and very handsome with short brown curly hair and big amber eyes.
• Darius Calpeyna - Darius is the leader of the Modernist faction and is the second eldest member of the Calpeyna family. He is the other major love interest in the series and is captivated by Elma. He became a vampire over two thousand years ago in Lazio, Italy by the witch who created the vampire and venandi curses. He is frozen at twenty-four years old and described as very attractive with black hair, olive skin and stunning turquoise blue eyes.
• Ekira Zaya - Ekira is the main villian of the series and is the sole cause of the death and destruction in Elma's life. She was turned half vampire around the 15th century by Serena Calpeyna. Ekira is the only living Venandi apart from Elma, and has dedicated her life to protecting her power. She is described as having long red hair and cruel, green eyes.
• Devena Calpeyna - Devena is the faction leader of the Scavengers AKA Children of Devena. She is the third oldest Calpeyna and resides in a cave in Spain due to her fear of vampire hunters. She is unhinged but passionality cares for her 'children' and would do anything to protect her faction from harm. She is described as having dark hair and turquoise blue eyes.
• Daniel Calpeyna - Daniel is the youngest Calpeyna, frozen at eighteen years old and is leader of the Pythagorean faction. Due to his faction rule of denying themselves blood, his once dark, Italian features have shifted to very pale skin with platinum blonde hair. He enjoys involving himself with politics and resides in a castle in Lazio, Italy.
• Carlos Calpeyna - Carlos is the oldest Calpeyna and leader of the Freehunter faction. He is viscious and along with his faction members have caused devastation to the vampire world. There are a lot of layers to Carlos and the one thing he seeks more than anything is a home for him and his faction. He is described as similar looking to Darius but with longer hair and a scar across the left side of his face.
• Serena Calpeyna - Serena was killed by Ekira and is the second youngest Calpeyna sibling.
• Jessica Harris - Jessica Harris is the ring leader in the torturous trio and the malicious roomate of Elma. After being forced to accept Elma into her house by her grandma, she and the twins go out of their way to bully and torment Elma until she couldn't take anymore. She is described as being attractive with dark brown hair and green eyes.
• Georgia & Katie Wells - twins and the other two members of the trio that tormented Elma during their house share. They look similar to Jessica, noted that she looked like their long lost triplet, and share the same dark brown hair and green eyes.
• Dr Valentin Lutz - Mad German doctor that is head of the science and innovation for the Modernist faction. He lives in the Calpeyna Manor alongside Darius and dedicates his life to enhancing the vampire world. Notable works are the violet sun-resistance creams and the distrubution of the blood bags to the faction. He is described as manic with grey hair and a unhinged personality.
• Rosemaire Lutz - niece of Dr Lutz and close friend of Elma. After losing her maker centuries ago, she came to the manor to work as a maid. She is very sweet and caring.
• Anthony Caroso - Eldest of the Caroso brothers and bodyguard to Darius. He is Italian and described as having olive skin and slicked back jet-black hair. He is very gruff and struggles to accept Elma and her influence in the faction.
• Damien Caroso - Youngest of the Caroso brothers and bodyguard to Darius. He is lot more caring than his brother and develops a friendship with Elma. He is described as looking similar to his brother Anthony.
• Alec Leon - Member of the Scavengers who spent the last thirty years in the dungeon of Calpeyna Manor. He is a close friend of Elma after their escape and has a bold personallity that loves to wind-up and irritate the people around him. He is Spanish and described as having several tattoos.
• Mona - Member of the Scavengers and close advisor to Devena. She is Sam Walter's maker and has never lost their bond. She is described as being attractive with short blonde hair and big, often teary, eyes.
• Katherine - Member of the Modernists and catalyist in the events of the next books.
